“The inspiration for this piece came from a picture in an interior design magazine. Though I loved the piece's look and proportions, it was simply too large for my space. So I wanted essentially the same piece, but smaller. And, since I knew the piece was doing to have to be made custom for me, I decided to add much more functionality than the pictured piece offered." This elegant grains solid Genuine Mahogany piece features complete frame and panel construction with custom-designed raised panels, aprons and legs, built-up crown molding, solid brass drawer and door pulls, oversized solid brass barrel hinges, in-cabinet lighting, and pull-outs for both computer CPU and printer. The piece was finished with a walnut stain, followed by several coatings of danish oil. “The piece is beautiful. I especially like the shape of the raised panels on the doors, which I designed. Everything is so conveniently located; it's just a pleasure to look at while I spend so much time at the computer. It really has become the focal point in the room, in terms of both functionality and beauty. The whole process and results were so enjoyable, I commissioned Elegant Grains to build several other pieces."
