“I wanted to surprise my husband – an avid fisherman - with an entertainment center that has the appearance that it belongs in a fishing lodge. We had a limited amount of floor space to work with and a large projection television, along with the usual audio/visual equipment, that we wanted contained in the piece. Having commissioned elegant grains once before, I knew Dick Klein was the one to build this piece.”
The elegant grains rustic entertainment
center, built with solid Eastern Knotty Pine, features a breakfront design,
inset doors, unusual ‘fish’ door pulls with complementary door hinges, and
adjustable shelves. Stain was applied to match an existing table, followed by
several coats of satin (sheen) oil varnish. “The entertainment center was a huge surprise! I really appreciated the fact that Dick delivered and set-up the piece on the exact day and time necessary to pull off the surprise just before my husband returned home from work. What wasn’t a surprise was quality of Dick’s work: based on our past experience with him, I had complete confidence this piece would be just as great as the first one.”
