Traditional Library

“We had a fairly good idea of what we wanted our two walls of home office/library cabinetry to look like, but couldn’t find a satisfactory combination of correct dimensions, details, functionality and wood anywhere we looked.  As luck would have it, a neighbor, who recently had a complete suite of home office furniture built for them by Elegant Grains, invited us over to see it.  Shortly after that, the process of working with Elegant Grains began.”

The elegant grains cabinetry, approximately ten feet tall and twenty-two feet wide, features cathedral doors, concealed ‘Euro’ door hinges, full extension file drawer slides, dimmable halogen lighting, and large, built-up top moldings. In an effort to match an existing desk, poplar and birch were utilized (similar grain patterns). Two different color dyes were applied, followed by lacquer topcoats.

“We really appreciated the fact that certain details we wanted could be incorporated in the design stage.  And what fun it was to visit the shop and see the project progress during the building stage until it was delivered!  We were very impressed with Dick’s friendly customer-oriented attitude and his commitment to perfection.  The whole process and end result really exceeded our expectations.”
